Sounds like: Hiatus Kaiyote, KING
Why do we like this?
Credit goes to singer Lalin St. Juste in The Seshen's newest exotic electronic track for sounding like an otherwordly instrument, uniting a few human beats with her foreign army of sounds. Credit goes to the rest of the group for creating that army.

According to the band, "2000 seasons" is in fact about a conquest of sorts: it's the story of an "individual who believes he has a calling to attain what is rightfully his but loses himself in the process." It's hard to be a passive listener of the story, instead it feels like being intensely engaged in a freshly sentient video game that has just forgotten it isn't real, and convinced you of this too. But since I don't play video games, I'll admit this sounds like nothing I've ever heard before "” an accidental, phenomenal, experimental jam session that isn't accidental at all.

In case you're listening to this song and loving it and also wondering what to read next, the title is taken from a novel by Ayi Kwei Armah. In case you're wanting to read less and hear more, head over to SoundCloud
