"Mysteries Revealed" is the latest single from chamber pop act The Saxophones' forthcoming debut album, Songs Of The Saxophones.
Reminiscent of Belle And Sebastian at their prime, husband and wife duo Alexi Erenkov & Alison Alderdice deliver a whimsical indie-pop number with "Mysteries Revealed."
The light instrumentation (big props for the use of the flute) combines well with Erenkov's playful vocals, creating a wonderful sense of '60s pop rooted in present times. Discussing the track Erenkov explained:
'Mysteries Revealed' is about coming to terms with the fact that you’ve hurt someone so much they want to hurt themselves. Discovering things are your fault; it can be so difficult to accept responsibility and change. It is dedicated to Alison for teaching me to listen and empathise.
