"Hey Now" is the latest from rising L.A. quartet The Regrettes. Comprising of 15-year-old frontwoman Lydia Night, 19-year-old Genessa Gariano (guitar), 17-year-old Maxx Morando (drums), and 18-year-old Sage Nicole (bass), "Hey Now" is rollicking garage-pop expression of hectic guitars and Night's captivating vocals.
This track is vibrant and full of life, with Night explaining "Hey Now" was written about a crush that didn't eventuate into anything more.
"I wrote “Hey Now” halfway through my freshman year. I had a big crush on this boy that was giving me mixed signals. I got so impatient that I just stopped liking him altogether."
The band is expected to release their debut album either later this year or early 2017, but until then, you can listen to more of their work here.
