This song talks about our perception of the past, and it's executed in a dreamy fashion that will leave you wanting more.
Our friend, Minneapolis-based filmmaker Laurel Cohen, built the set to this video in her apartment and filmed it in one continuous take. The video was actually shot in reverse, starting from the end scene and moving towards the beginning. This seemed like the perfect backdrop to the song, which touches on how a past event can shape the way we live in the present, and how the present can determine the way we remember our past.
I had a rough weekend. A rough, rough weekend. A weekend that requires a bit of redundancy to really express how rough it was. It kind of brought back a lot of old feelings and a lot of trash memories, but at least it was trash while in San Francisco. Basically, this song is super relevant to my weekend.
