Sounds like: alt-J, Travis
Why do we like this?

Good indie folk is always welcome in my book, and I recently came across that with Alberta, Canada's The Provincial Archive.

Making folk music with a tinge of indie rock much like their British counterparts alt-J, The Provincial Archive is about to release a brand new EP, It's All Shaken Wonder, which features their lead track "Daisy Garden."

With its almost mechanical, wind-up toy beat competing against acoustic guitars and organs, "Daisy Garden" is like an internal struggle, as progress and order go head-to-head with the things of the past.

It all kind of reminds me of the folk version of the Island of Misfit Toys, but with a much more existential vibe to it.  Not to mention a much higher musical quality.
