Why do we like this?
I knew I would like "Fisherman" the second it started. In fact, I'm kicking myself that it took me this long to hear the latest single by The Peach Kings. The L.A.-based duo swept me off my feet last year with their Trip Wop EP. "By My Side" was unlike anything I had been listening to at the time. Still is in a lot of ways.
"Fisherman" is a good follow up to The Peach King's last release, "Thieves and Kings." Both feature some great guitar work by Steven 'Dies' Trezevant and lustful vocals from Page Wood. "Fisherman" in particular is an intoxicating voyage dripping with soul.
The Peach Kings have a full length EP dropping sometime soon, so be on the lookout for that. They've also got a lot of upcoming shows in L.A. that are worth checking out if you are interested some kick-ass live music.
