Why do we like this?
I discovered The Orwells, a self-described "flower punk" group out of Chicago, while listening to Sirius XMU. I was instantly hooked. Consisting of five 17-year olds, The Orwells remind me a bit of Cloud Nothings, which is a really good thing.
"Mallrats (La La La)" is intense rock song that features drowning vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and driving drum work that all blend together perfectly. This song is off their debut LP, Remember When, which was released on August 7 via Autumn Tone Records.
