Why do we like this?
Melbourne-based The Ocean Party are due to release their third LP, Split, this week. Before then though, we've been treated to the record's second, breezy single "Quarter Life Crisis" (we featured the first single, and title track, "Split," last month).
I could listen to music from these guys forever. It's simple without being shallow, sunny without being overbearing, and best of all, it's honest. Given the carefree nature of the tracks, it will come as no surprise to find that the band recorded the album on a farm -- far away from the constraints and distractions of the city.
If you're looking for a track to kick-start your roadtrip playlist, look no further. Keep an eye on their Facebook for more album release details.
