The dynamic Dutch duo comprised of The Nicholas and San Holo is back with yet another beautiful, genre blending tune. Over the past year these two have been killing it with the collaborations, and their latest work, “Pocket,” keeps the hype high.
The track expertly incorporates acoustic and electronic elements. It eases us in with The Nicholas’ soft singing and gentle guitar plucking, eventually building to San Holo’s elegant, etheric electronic interlude. Airy synths whistle throughout, offering the comfort of a warm blanket.
Honestly I can’t say enough about this one. My first listen nearly moved me to tears as the mellow music meandered through my ears.
With “Pocket,” San Holo again demonstrated his willingness move his style away from the sound of the status quo. As this is the last single to be released leading up to bitbird’s Gouldian Finch compilation, I’m more than excited to hear the collection in full when it drops this coming Friday.
