It's been a long time since The Naked and Famous released their smash hit album Passive Me, Aggressive You. While the New Zealanders have not announced any plans for a new album, they are in the process of releasing a collection of remixes and B-sides due out on May 20. One of the tracks set to be on the release is a collaboration with fellow New Zealanders Kids of 88.
The track is called "A Source of Light," and while it is a little more downtempo than we've come to expect from the Naked and Famous, it is still worth a listen. Filled with some haunting piano and interplay of male and female vocals, the song builds up with a catchy back-beat and pops of some bright synths. If this is how The Naked and Famous and Kids of 88 chill out, than I am definitely ready to hang out with them.
