The Modern Strangers have only been around for about a year, but already they're one of the most intriguing new bands in the U.K. thanks to the groove/rock explosions they've sent into online orbit so far.
One of these is this track, "Vanilla," a journey where first you'll be greeted at the door by a nice punchy bassline (they grew up listening to Talking Heads, among others), before being pulled inside by a combination of disco and funk elements to join a wall-shaking party of a chorus hosted by an absolute slammer of a guitar riff. Play it loud.
Max & Archie Davenport (they're brothers, by the way) will take their talents to The Camden Assembly and 2Q Festival over the next few months, so definitely go show them some love for this amazingness if you find yourself in the U.K.
