Why do we like this?

In case you missed it, Transgressive Records are currently in full swing releasing a bunch of rare singles from their roster. Yesterday we covered Flume's "Possum," and today I figured -- given it's "flashback Friday" -- we'd hit up this cover by The Shins.

The original song was released as part of the soundtrack to a movie by the same name: Strange Powers. It chronicles the story of singer-songwriter Stephin Merrit over the course of roughly a decade.
