Upbeat. Indie pop. Brisbane. These are three words I've been uttering over and over recently, and I'm about to do it again. Four-piece The Jungle Giants have been busily gathering legions of fans after their single "Mr Polite" (from their debut EP) polled well in the
2011 Triple J's Hottest 100 voting. After a huge 30-date national tour in support of
Boy and Bear, they're readying themselves for a tour of their own in support of their new EP,
She's a Riot (to be released July 27).
Before the EP drops, fans are getting a taste of what to expect, with the title track released earlier this week. "She's a Riot" is a definite winner, and fans of the Kooks and Two Door Cinema Club will be drooling over the twinkling guitar, driving percussion and clear vocals.
The. Jungle. Giants. These are three words you'll be hearing a lot more of very soon. And not just from me.
