Why do we like this?

The weekend is the best time to explore new corners of the music-verse, uncovering waterfalls of wavy psych-pop, or perhaps climbing a mountain of experimental electronica. 

Today's journey brings us to The John V. Variety Hour, the solo project of Brooklyn-based musician and teacher John V. He's known in some circles of Twitter hell as @wettbutt, and with singles like "Gallant Goofus" under his belt, he soon may be known as an emerging voice in the New York psych-pop scene.
