The summer sun is blazing as you're standing on a diving board at a pool party with one of those swan-shaped inflatable pool tubes around your waist, a red solo cup in your hand, and your best friends cheering you on. You let out a guttural scream and launch yourself ten feet in the air before crash landing in the water with Olympic elegance.
Or maybe you're whipping up copious amounts of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, squeezing yourself some refreshing homemade lemonade, and putting said sandwiches and lemonade in a huge woven basket as you get set for a carefree picnic in a park with your family.
In any case, this new single from The Head and The Heart will conjure up the most blissful of daydreams the second you hit play. It's musical comfort food from start to finish, and is certainly a good indicator that Signs of Light, (coming September 9th via Warner Bros. Records), will be a large helping of expertly-crafted feel-good folk rock.
