Why do we like this?

Sheffield based singer, songwriter, and producer Conor Stephenson has just released his latest EP Confidence Is Bliss under the moniker of The Half Earth, his solo project.

"Pieces Of Us" is the first single to be revealed from the EP, produced by Rich Cooper (Lucy Rose, Mystery Jets, Josef Salvat).

The dynamic track features heavy drums, and is awash with piano and synth sounds, alongside a deeply endearing, meandering falsetto which contrasts the deep and urgent vocal hooks.

Not my usual cup of tea, but there is something I am definitely drawn to in this single. Make sure you keep updated with The Half Earth's movements on Facebook and SoundCloud.
