Why do we like this?

From the dance inducing label Tipsy Records comes "Lost Yourself," the latest offering from The Golden Pony. The track combines elements of old-school pop and deep house, and I was surprised to learn the production was inspired by alternative rock techniques.

The genre-blending tune features melodic vocals from Philadelphia's JT Mak who offsets the warm groove with a Chromeo-washed falsetto. His voice works well atop the funk-infused sound, complete with a plucky bassline and rhythmic pianos.

"Lost Yourself" will be available on Spotify July 5th, but you can grab a limited free download just in time for the holiday weekend.
