Considering how much music is available to consume these days it's inevitable that the odd band or release is going to slip through the cracks, as is the case with Taiwanese act The Fur.
Comprising of childhood friends hailing from the seaside city of Kaohsiung, the indie-pop quartet dropped their masterful debut album, Town, last September.
Discovering the band are playing SXSW this year, I've quickly become a fan of their quirky indie stylings, with single "Short Stay" a great introduction to their sound.
Mixing melodic guitar work with '80s synths, and front woman Savanna's enchanting vocals, "Short Stay" is a mesmerizing piece of music that will leave you with a warm feeling.
The film clip for the tune is also hilarious, demonstrating The Fur.'s fun loving nature represented in their playful tunes.
You can listen to Town via all good streaming platforms and catch them live at SXSW as part of the Taiwan Beats showcase at Elysium on Wednesday, March 13th.
