Today I am a walking content machine. One YouTube up at the crack of dawn, and now a second review before I've even had my brunch. I'm literally dreaming in copy at the moment. I fart text. My tears are little periods that form a puddle of tildes on the floor.
Our friends over at Cauldron though have taken value, and content, and smushed it together into a little cassette packed with disco fun-times and taught me a hot lesson.
The release is equal parts fascinating and frustrating. Here you have exclusive music, you know, the kind that DJs go crazy for, but it's found a way onto cassette, which isn't a format I've ever engaged with. (Note: the cassette purchase comes with a digital download.) However, the psychology behind it is fascinating in that there's something more special about music that's trapped behind a door. It's exclusivity. It's your own little pearl to fetish over and spoon feed mayo so that it fattens to the point where it can't leave the house and has no choice but to love you only.
WOW. Where did the time go?! I've got to be off now. Cheers.
