Why do we like this?

Back in the summer of 2013, I stumbled upon The Franklin Electric's debut album and quickly fell in love. Jon Matte was gracious enough to respond to a shout out on Twitter, and soon I was posting one of my first ever email interviews on my own music blog. 

Fast forward to the present, and Matte's music still hits me just as hard. "I Know The Feeling" is like the 2.0 version of "This Is How I Let You Down," with a fuller sound, more complex composition and lyrics right in tune with the times.

And once again, I find myself overdosing on Matte's sweet melodies and the inspiring instrumentals of this Canadian ensemble to get me through sickness of the heart. I know this feeling. 

They may have a knack for the melancholy, but The Franklin Electric's style is one that will leave you with a brighter outlook for tomorrow.
