Why do we like this?
Ahead of the release of their debut album, No Kidding!, New York trio The Fluids have dropped the reverb-heavy "New Land Sale."
The opening guitar squeal is bolstered by rhythmic drumming and a thumping bass line, evolving in a Joy Division-esque melody before frontman Mike Tony's commanding presence takes over.
"New Land Sale" is a frantic, dead set rock and roll tune, with The Fluids channeling the 80s without sounding dated. When coupled with previous singles "Creatures," "Fluid N' Drive," and "Just Like Me," it's plain to see The Fluids are possessed by the spirit of the revered NY scene that surrounds them, and No Kidding! is set to be an ear-catching release you don't want to miss.
