Why do we like this?
Today marks the Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Marathon. We're still getting over the best Bonnaroo ever and BLAM! It's already that time again.
Not only do we get to find out who's playing the Tennessee fest in June, but we already get the first superjam of the season. Ben Folds teams up with The Flaming Lips, which makes for a great excuse to post the latter's 1993 classic the former so aptly covered, "She Don't Use Jelly."
This year's incarnation will be hosted by SNL's Taran Killam and comedian Hannibal Buress, the pre-show runs from 7pm - 9pm EST and then the actual lineup announcement begins until 9:30 EST. Rumored to headline are Kanye West, Elton John and Jack White, but if that's not enough variety for you, the undercard always comes with a myriad of surprises and other artists who could easily headline any festival.
BLAM! is consistently one of the few annual events that actually delivers on the hype. Of course, all it needs to do that is a list of names, but when those names are Paul McCartney, Arcade Fire, or Radiohead, it can offer a brief glimpse into the excitement of summer.
So tune in to Bonnaroo.com or via the Bonnaroo app on Xbox tonight and let us know what you think of the lineup!
