Why do we like this?

I sure like me some music from The Dodos. If memory serves me right, I used to listen to their music ad infinitum while living in Washington DC, and I'll certainly never forget the first (and only) time I saw them playing live in San Francisco. They're just...good!

Naturally, that means I'm pretty excited to be bringing you the first new single off their upcoming album Individ. "Competition" has a relatively predictable sound, and though I can't say I'm totally won over, there's something nice about listening to a song that takes me back ~5 years in time.

You'll be able to grab the release on January 27th via Polyvinyl.
