Ontario's own The Dirty Nil takes modernized rock n' roll and a hard partying, hedonistic lifestyle and carries on the tradition of what rock bands do best: fuck shit up. This type of attitude works in favor for The Dirty Nil's music as an outlet for their carefree and blithe lifestyle.
Their video for the single, "Fuckin' Up Young" is the quintessential setting for all things reckless and adventurous. It's obvious that this band and all their friends just want to have a good time. The riffs are heavy, the drums are piercing and the vocals are perfectly anthemic. This video, or rather, the people in it, cracked me up (especially the bald, shirtless dude with glasses. You'll know who I'm talking about). This video and song represents an overall good time in the form of hard partying and getting drunk... because that's what you do when you're fuckin' up young, right?
If you want some more of this rock n' roll insanity, head over to The Dirty Nil's Bandcamp where you can get their 4-song summer mixtape, which is free until September 24, and then it'll be gone forever. Oh, and The Dirty Nil wanted to let you guys know,"Remember to play the songs as LOUD as humanly possible!"
