Why do we like this?
Melbourne's The Delta Riggs make rock music at its purest. 2012 was spent touring the country, with support for the likes of Primal Scream and the Jim Jones Revue, as well as appearances at a number of major Australian festivals. This has been the perfect way for the band to launch their debut album, which is due out on April 5, 2013 (via their own label!). We've just been treated to the first single off the self-produced LP "“ the explosive "Rah Rah Radio."
Fusing in elements of psych, punk and blues, this track packs as much as possible into its 2:36. The slashing guitar, dominant percussion, and the frenetic vocals of lead Elliott Hammond make for one powerful package of rock n' roll.
After just finishing up another big support act (this time with the Divine Fits), all attention can now be focused on the lead up to April. We can't wait!
