Why do we like this?
The Death Of Pop was a bit of a mystery to me when I first heard their song "Girl I Can't Forget," but I know a bit more about them now. Band members Oliver James (guitars, vocals), Angus James (guitars, vocals), Thom James (drums), and James Isaacs (bass) are not related, but each member happens to have the name James as a middle name or first name. Weird, right?
The Death Of Pop have released ten songs to their SoundCloud in last three months. "Let Me Drown" is their latest, and it's an indie pop song with bouncy guitar play and well-paced drumming; they also got a bit of shoegaze vocals happening in there.
The Minnesota indie label Manic Pop! Records will be releasing The Death Of Pop's first physical release, 7" Hang EP, due soon. If this song has captured your attention, feel free to order it here.
