Why do we like this?
A couple years back, alternative rock supergroup The Dead Weather released Horehound, a widely received debut album that basically came, saw, and conquered only to go away again with the bands split in 2010.
This version of "Treat Me Like Your Mother," featured on Horehound's B-side, is a revamped remix brought to us by prolific producer Diplo. It's a filthier, bouncier track full of subtle Major Lazer nuances and that jiggly shake we've come to expect from this southern DJ.
Electronic music woven in with alternative garage rock makes way more sense when the productions are embraced with Mossart's menacing yells and grinding electronics, don't you think?
