Perth's The Chemist has always been one of those bands you can't believe hasn't blown up yet. Great live performances and a unique sound have resulted in a loyal following locally, with two celebrated EPs already gracing their discography.
With the four-piece scheduled to release their debut album in early 2013, we've already been treated to the LP's first single "Spray Paint or Praise." If this is what we should expect from the album, 2013 is going to be a great year. It's full of swagger and sass, with a dirty blues vibe completed with hovering organ, sultry guitar riffs and brilliant, reverbed vocals from frontman Ben Witt.
You can download the track for free from the band's SoundCloud, and while you're at it, check out the single's accompanying video.
