Why do we like this?

"Hallways" is the enchanting latest from folk quartet The Brook & The Bluff. Taken from their forthcoming debut album, First Place, the song highlights the lad's gorgeous harmonies over delicate folk instrumentation.

There's quite a lot to like about this tune, The Brook & The Bluff similar to compatriots Fleet Foxes and Band Of Horses. As lead singer, guitarist, and keyboardist Joseph Settine explains about the track:

‘Hallways’ has a dual meaning within the track. It is a song about longing to be careless around a lot of self-inflicted rigidity. Only wanting to hear one thing from your significant other (or someone close to you) and feeling complete when you do.

First Place is set for release on October 25.
