"Cello Song" was originally recorded by the late, great Nick Drake in 1969 for his album Five Leaves Left. In 2009 The Books, an synth-cello band (yep, synth-cello), and Jose Gonzalez, a Singer-Songwriter cover that song for an compilation album, Dark Was the Night. The compilation was put together for the Red Hot Organization "“ an international charity dedicated to raising money and awareness for HIV and AIDS.
