The Black Keys bounce back into the alt-rock space with the Dropout Boogie album and "It Ain't Over" is the purest form of kicking the door down and laying down the audio rules.
The Black Keys have always been distinctive, they've always had "their" sound, but "It Ain't Over" gives their sound an injection of electric rock, it feels almost like every chorus of this song is charged with high voltage identities of rebellion and confidence. Like any good heist, this track feels planned to the last second and it robs your ears with success.
The Black Keys are here and it definitely isn't over.
