This band reminds of the Arctic Monkeys or the 1975 in the way their music and style scream alternative. On “Why,” the piano keeps the beat, making it sound less harsh, while zany guitar chords add some much-needed edge.
The London-based pop group has a unique flair to them. You know, they give off that kind of vibe where I feel like they would be way too cool for me to hang out with.
There are lots of specifics in the verses that allow you to picture everything vividly. Lyrics that take you away from where you are and bring you somewhere totally different are some of the best. The first time I heard this, I let out a sigh when I reached the point in the song about leaving the beach early. To me, there's nothing more disappointing than getting all the way to the shore and not being able to enjoy it.
