Well, this is a funky ball of fun if I've ever heard one!
Brisbane party starters The Belligerents have put together a super new single which serves as a taste of what we should expect from their upcoming EP (the band's third). Fortunately for you, dear listeners, Indie Shuffle has the premiere of the quintet's latest jam.
"I Don't Want To Be In Your Arms" takes on a different direction from their previous single, the darker "Ghost VS." This time around, we're treated to a vibrant pop track guaranteed to get your toes tapping. Describing the state of mind after a break-up has never been more groovy, with an aching bass line joined by killer synth lines and plenty of Lewis Stephenson's powerful vocals.
This is a such a fun track, and one that bodes well for the band's EP release. There have been plenty of wins for Australian bands making music like this over the past couple of years, and The Belligerents are definitely in line to repeat this success.
