If you're familiar with my reviews, you'll know "New Home" is pretty different than the typical music I post. But after a single listen, this tenacious track swept me back to my 16-year-old days, flailing my arms and hair about at small local punk shows. Man, I used to be so cool....
Given the current prevalence of electronic productions, feisty garage rock seems a bit underrepresented. For anyone yearning for thrashing yet tight punk-influenced music, may I present to you: The Bay Rays.
What I love about this Kent, England four-piece is that there's an organization behind the chaos. Rollicking guitars, relentless percussion, and Harry Nicoll's charismatic vocals tie together nicely to make this track a swift and fun musical endeavor.
If you dig their sound, check out "Four Walls" and be sure to like their Facebook page.
