I never did enough acid or hallucinogens to get into jam bands or psychedelic rock, outside of casually enjoying early Pink Floyd records like "Bike," but That's Right! ended up catching my attention.
“The four of us knew “Nothing” had the potential to be an epic closer for Legs from our fans’ reactions to it at our shows. Nick (who co-produced the EP) and I wanted to keep that live momentum and power in a studio setting. Dylan’s explosive drumming and Artie’s incredibly smooth yet powerful bass playing created the foundation for me to lay down guitar and keyboard textures which are all are just the teaser for the grand finale: Tyler’s absolutely facemelting guitar solo. To further round out the track, the four of us gradually built up harmony stacks that Nick and I put through minutely managed reverbs and delays, creating a kaleidoscopic, trance-like atmosphere which we happily ripped apart with heavy fuzz guitars and startling spaces of silence.” - Griffin Novie (vocals, guitar, keyboards)
Their intentions definitely translated on "Nothing." Head over to SoundCloud to check out the rest of their EP.
