"Prayer" is the glistening debut single from Brussels-based singer Tessa Dixson. The 20-year-old grew up in a multi-cultural family and has divided her time between Brussels, the UK and California. New song, "Prayer," is a melancholic glimpse into her subconscious.
Dixson's voice projects a feeling of subtle vulnerability over the groaning synths, offering a bridge between the light and dark that we all face during an uncertain relationship. Speaking about the track Dixson stated:
“I have tried to evoke a depth in my lyrics combined with a melancholic melody to mirror the complexity of relationships. Even though there is a certain dark quality to the song I still wanted the sound to be fresh and soulful”
The accompanying film clip was shot by Bob Jeusette around California and plays into the themes of "Prayer," with Dixson also showing her love of The Offspring with a t-shirt sporting their Americana album cover.
