Why do we like this?

Terry Urban teams up with indie rock experimentalists Portugal. The Man for a mashup album called Portugal. The Man & Friends. This ingenious collection of tracks features samples from their latest album, Evil Friends, with some of Urban's favorite hip-hop artists, including Biggie, Yeezy and Jay-Z.

Today's track is a highly enthusiastic mashup of PTM's "Modern Jesus" and Kanye's "Jesus Walks," appropriately titled "Modern Yeezus." What we have here is a crazy-cool mixture of sounds featuring the quips and lyrical whips of Kanye's older days combined with a catchy-as-hell chorus from PTM's latest album.

If you're a fan of either of these artists you definitely won't be disappointed with this track, especially since they are serving it up fo free. Get it here and listen to these dudes preach!
