Why do we like this?
Choosing to feature Temples' new song "Mesmerise" as Song of the Day had my mind going in all sorts of directions:
1) This sounds a whole lot like Tame Impala. Why feature something unoriginal?
2) But wow, there's something about this song that I just really, really like.
3) Maybe it's because I like Tame Impala so much? Perhaps I'd have a similar reaction if I was hearing new Tame Impala?
4) Okay...so, they're not exactly Tame Impala. And it's unfair to say this sounds *just like* another band.
5) It's my fourth time listening to this song. I should probably make it SOTD.
The UK-based band will be releasing their debut album Sun Structures in February via Heavenly Recordings and Fat Possum.
