Are you a snobby, early adopter of all things indie music? If you're here, there's a ninety percent chance that you just mentally answered yes to that question. Today, young minions, I bring you Teenage Sweater, a group local to lovely San Francisco.
Teenage Sweater is a synth-heavy duo, with an EP or two under their belt. Just very recently signing to SF's Tricycle Records, home to the illustrious Geographer, this 80s-feeling outfit dropped their first LP Concentration just last month. It's fast-paced, spacey, delicate, and well thought-out.
I'm most especially drawn to "Young Glitter," a youthful synth-pop ballad with a brightly glowing melody. With summer just around the corner (yes, that's a stretch but I'm delusional an optimist), I'm pumped to listen to this upbeat track in the sun with a delicious cocktail to my right.
For more from Teenage Sweater, check out their LP on Spotify, or visit their Bandcamp or SoundCloud.
