Why do we like this?
I must say... I've been seeing this band name Teen Mom for the past few months, and I don't know why I was so put off by the name, but I was. Stupid, I know. But when I got an email soliciting that Teen Mom had something in common with Destiny's Child, I had to look deeper.
And here we are. With Teen Mom's new single, "Say My Name." What it's lacking in the genre that Destiny's Child owned so fearlessly, it makes up for in fuzz pop gold. I really, really enjoy this song. It's delicate at times, grunge-ful at others but all in all, it is the perfect balance for a song that showcases all that is great and infectious in the garage pop genre.
You reeled me in, Teen Mom. From start to finish, I was hooked. I can see a bright future for this band. Maybe they should do a Destiny's Child cover next.
