I remember vividly the blissful days from my childhood where my friends and I would hop in one of those backwards-facing-back-seat Volvos after school and blast Kasabian on the way to the skatepark, a giddy mess of Vans, ripped T-shirts, scraped knees, long hair, logo stickers, and rock n' roll.
We fed off of huge walls of distorted noise as we headbanged and attempted to shred, feeling like we had musical soulmates in those rockers across the pond. Team Picture takes me back to those days.
Their new single "CLASSIC:M" is the perfect example as to why. It's two and a half minutes of no nonsense alt-rock, the "group of polite individuals who live in Leeds" slamming on thick guitar tones behind vocals that echo around inside your head long after they disappear and give way to an absolute jam session of post-punk-colored sound waves.
