Why do we like this?

Tamu Massif’s new release “Holding Back” is a textured masterpiece, with layers developing as the song intertwines around different musical styles, giving me hints of Bon Iver, James Blake, and José González.

Incorporating psychedelia, lo-fi indie, electronica and bedroom pop, his debut EP Alba was released via Chiverin in 2015, and “Holding Back” is the first of a series of new releases we can expect this year.

The UK-based artist has had a wealth of support from local radio and press, and is currently on tour across the UK and Europe.
