Why do we like this?

An Aussie guy and a Northern Irish guy walk into a New York studio....

Sounds like the start of a bad joke. Luckily, it's not. I'm very excited to introduce you to new Brooklyn-based duo Tamper and their debut single "Take It In."

Following a chance meeting in New York, the cross-continental duo drew inspiration from their surroundings. Writing and producing from their Bedford-Stuyvesant studio, a four track EP is set to drop in the first half of the year.

From the first beat, this visceral, warbled, modulated bass sets a dark tone for the synth-based track. But then, something kind of unexpected happens -- a husky indie melody takes center stage.

It's the completely original blend of sleazy vocals with deep, bubbly synth layers that make this track stand out so much. It works so well, and I can't wait to hear more from the new duo.
