Following the release of two singles earlier this Spring, Tame Impala showcases teaser track, "It Might Be Time," off of their forthcoming album, The Slow Rush, to be released in February of 2020. Tame Impala brings familiar energy with a current, relatable twist.
When Kevin Parker croons lyrics such as, "All my friends are growing up, and moving on" and "It ain’t as fun as it used to be," I felt that in my soul. I may have just turned 23, but it seems this decade of life is a fork in the road; half of my friends are getting engaged/moving in with their significant other and the other half is still blacking out on the weekends. Guess which one I am :)
Featuring a modulated synth line and Parker's signature psychedelic yet seductive vocals, this track carries Tame Impala's reputation of an ever-adapting, psych-pop powerhouse. Dare I say...a reigning champion. Kevin Parker's vision constantly adapting; a staple in all music-connoisseur's libraries. He's my king.
