Why do we like this?
Good god. Ta-ku -- a musically prolific, social media loving artist -- must have been through some shit. His next release, titled Songs To Break Up To, is coming out next month, and the producer has just released this single in anticipation.
"We Were In Love" is infinitely powerful from the first second. This is the type of track that will pull on strings of depression you never knew you had. Beginning with gasps, bass, and simple drums, the gravity is not spared on listeners for a nanosecond. Bringing in despondently luscious vocals over the slowly crescendoing melody takes "We Were In Love" to the outer echelon of break up music.
Sad and heavy though this is, Ta-ku brings a brilliant production to the table. If this is the caliber of music we can expect from the gent, his next release is sure to impress.
