Why do we like this?

I woke up giddy this morning because there was an announcement of a new EP from Aussie producer Ta-ku coming out called Songs To Make Up To. It’s a follow-up to his supreme (yet sombre) Songs To Break Up To.

This first taste features the ever-soulful JMSN. I find the beats much happier in tone than that of Ta-ku's previous work. Fitting. And is it just me, or is Ta-ku infinitely maturing in his beatsmithing? I love the way he's layered the vocals here.

They say love comes and goes in our lives like waves. A cheesy stretch, but so does music. This is just Ta-ku's first new track -- let's hold our breath and hope more ripples out.
