Last month, T. Evann (London songwriter and producer Tyler Darrington) appropriately released his EP Pocus just in time for spooky season. Expanding upon some darkness, here are his words upon posting the release:
"The trickery of the mind sometimes needs to be tamed. 'Pocus' addresses the deceptive human consciousness and how we sometimes decide to incorrectly address it.
I wrote this through a period of multiple self-isolations. These songs prevented me from going stir crazy!!!!"
Tyler's work expresses real emotion and personal experiences through a range of musical styles. This one feels timeless; I'm almost getting a modern Bob Dylan, but psychedelic indie pop. He kills the lyrics with such straight delivery - the one-liners are piercing.
