Hindsight Static

Sylvan Esso keeps delivering little vignettes with "Didn't Care" —a precursor to their new album No Rules Sandy.

It's all fuzzy with "Didn't Care" as it reminds us of past experiences and memories we all have had of loved ones, companions, regrets, and surprises. It takes a certain type of artist to make a track sound like a memory, like a flashback, and yet, Sylvan Esso takes such a complex theme and brings it into the light with comfort and an electric finesse only they are capable of.

It's high energy and fuzzy at the same time, it's collapsing in on itself and also growing and that bass guitar riff is possibly just the cherry on top of this past experience.
