Low-key US duo Sylvan Esso first appeared on Indie Shuffle with "Hey Mami." They have now followed that track up with another single, "Coffee."
It sounds something like a meeting between Jungle and Feist. As Stereogum described it, "Sanborn's bass-heavy productions give Meath a chilly counterpoint even while she's grounding him with her voice's warm earthiness."
It's a winning combination that also draws obvious links to other recent success stories, like Ben Khan, The xx, or tUnE-yArDs, and surely heightens expectations for the duo's forthcoming debut album. For now, you can pre-order the single here.
