SWIMM, arguably the most aesthetically pleasing band, has hit us with a new track, "Talk To Me." And boy, is it speaking...maybe even shouting. It's got groove, it's got grip, it's got fresh ideas, and because of this, it's got a place on Indie Shuffle.
We covered their song "Speak Politely" back in 2017. So not only does "Talk To Me" mark the first single from their upcoming album, Best Comedown Ever, but it's also a lovely revisit for us, 6 years later.
At the 1:20 mark, a gorgeous changeup occurs with the refrain "and that's when I realized, I was praying for you." This is the absolute highlight of the track and I could listen to it over and over again, just to hear that section. It doesn't hurt that the rest of the song is also pretty great, and I hope you enjoy it too.
